Baby massage is a wonderful way to encourage the physical, emotional and cognitive development of a baby. It is true that it has amazing effects on premature baby weight gain and on baby's sleep patterns. Like mentioned, it's a great way to reconnect with your baby.
As a baby and child massage instructor, I've seen many parents and babies bond through loving touch and fun.
To incorporate loving songs and rhymes into the massage, or into any nurturing touch moment between parent and baby, please check out my book 'Mommy, Draw Stars on My Tummy.'

Thanks!

I have a huge interest in the nature of LQTS as my daughter and her father were diagnosed with it on family screening following the sudden death of our 21 year old son almost six years ago.
I have received this as one of the most interesting Google alerts on this subject that I've had since I've become involved in setting up support groups for Sudden Cardiac Death in young people & LQTS in Ireland.
My daughter has the HERG mutation (KCNH2) and also the Jervel Lange Neilsen one (KCNE1) which I know can only act recessivly for deafness. We've been told that she has LQTS2 & LQTS5. Their father has been found to have KCNE1 as has a 1st cousin of my kids. I've been found to have neither mutation as have our other two daughters.
I've forwarded this to our GP and my daughter's cardiologist and also to a member of the LQTS support group. She suffered a cardiac arrest at age 18. She now has two children aged 4 & 6. >25 members of her family in 4 generations (still living) have been diagnosed with LQTS but no gene mutation has yet been identified. She believes that drug avoidance is imperitive and also competitive sport avoidance in her children which is very difficult.

I would appreciate contact with you through my personal email or through the website www.scdyoung.ie which is affilliated to the Irish Heart Foundation as is the LQTS support group www.irishheart.ie
